My name is Renato Zalamea. I am a nurse anesthetist, founder and chairman of the Memphis Mission of Mercy. Our organization is composed of doctors, nurses, technicians, auxiliary support staff and anyone else who believes in our cause. Our goal is to reach out to the medical and spiritual needs of those who have little. Our mission is primarily a medical and surgical one centered in the Philippines.
Since 2001, we have conducted medical-surgical humanitarian missions to the Philippines on an annual and sometimes semi-annual basis having reached over 15,000 individuals in sixteen mission trips.
We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

In sixteen mission trips, we have have averaged 25 major surgeries, 169 minor surgeries, 1344 clinical consultations and 24 dental procedures are undertaken. In addition, local church assistance has seen the installation of clean water systems to five needy communities. Disaster relief efforts have also taken place in regions affected by monsoons and typhoons.
